Yesterday a friend of mine asked what he could do with his uncle that is having some alcohol problems; I did not know what to respond because I never was involved in this. I searched for Drug rehab centers in Illinois and gave him some advices; hope everything will be fine with his uncle. This book contains a lot of information, I asked some of my colleagues if they heard about this handbook and they said it is very good, it gives some advices about public health issues that could help in the future, it is not meant only for media professionals, people like me that want to know more about public health also could learn a lot.

The fact is every specific field has a communication code proper for working with media. It takes a code to be professional and to make the information reach the audience in the exact manner that you intend to. Best guidelines in a domain come from people who experienced some issues, found solutions for them, an now there they come in front of us educating us into how to be real professionals and not repeat the same mistakes. When you, for instance, write a press release, you have to know how to explain its utility and benefits to the public and give all due insight.
