Abstract: 
Induced abortion is a safe medical procedure when carried out by skilled practitioners in hygienic environments. In places with restrictive abortion laws, untrained providers, unsanitary conditions and limited access to high quality abortion services, women are much more likely to experience immediate complications, longterm disabilities or sometimes death.

It's sad that there still are countries in the world where women don't have access to primary health services. Having an induced abortion in an unsafe environment is risky, like using anabolic steroids without a medical guidance. Though, in most of the situations, there it's not their fault and you can blame the lack of medication and health reforms needed.

 I am supportive with the comment by lovercathi. You have mentioned the bad practices of illegal abortion from untrained person. Also the abortion methods are primitive and traditional that can have bad effect on health of woman and can lead to death also. It is practiced mainly because of the social values and negligence to use safety methods. We can also get reference from history that woman have always tried to terminate unwanted pregnancies. Safe procedures are banned by law, which leads them to apply dangerous or deadly abortions.
