Duduzile Campaigns with her Dad
25 May 2009
Duduzile, who shot to fame in 2006 when she testified in her father's defence when he faced charges of rape - Zuma was acquitted - this weekend joined ANC Youth League president Julius Malema in speaking at a party rally in Plettenberg Bay at the weekend.
Duduzile has accompanied her father to high-profile engagements recently, including last month's official opening of Parliament. She told The Times yesterday that she enjoyed speaking at the rally and would do so again. ‘‘If I'm asked, most definitely. I had so much fun addressing my first rally, and I have a lot to say and offer the nation. ‘‘I have been on the campaign trail since I was born, so I have no choice but to participate. But even if I were not born into the ANC, I probably would join voluntarily - it offers great policies. "The political tension has kept the ANC on its toes . Its visibility is flooding the nation. We are on every lamppost, in every suburb and even in the air. Which other organisation has a helicopter?"
