African Feminist Forum Kicks off in Senegal
21 Oct 2010
The third African Feminist forum kicked off today in Dakar, Senegal . This year’s event sees an increased use of technologies to share information and spread the feminist word across Africa.
If you want to read about the conference and reflections from feminists, you can follow the event on Facebook, Twitter and various blogs – and if you don't’ know what Facebook or Twitter is, then there is a workshop to help you get to grips with Social Media.
Jan Moolman from APC, and Sally-Jean Shackleton will lead a session of feminist practice of technologies, and social media. They showed examples of innovative use of technologies from the Association for Progressive Communications as well As Women’sNet. (picture: Zanele Muholi)
