Abstract: 
This policy seeks to contribute towards promoting effective prevention and care within the context of the public education system.It was developed by the South African Department of Education in August 1999.

Learners and students with HIV/AIDS should lead as full a life as
possible and should not be denied the opportunity to receive an education
to the maximum of their ability. Likewise, educators with HIV/AIDS should
lead as full a professional life as possible, with the same rights and
opportunities as other educators and with no unfair discrimination being
practiced against them. Infection control measures and adaptations must be
universally applied and carried out regardless of the known or unknown HIV
status of individuals concerned.

Education in South Africa needs to be changed; the process of modernization takes too long. I made some OSHA10.com courses and this policy would make good changes, let`s hope the implementation won`t take so long. My aunt that works as a teacher in South Africa told me a lot of people are implied in this project.
