Tshwane Leadership Foundation: Social Worker

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate grant acquisition
• Monitor the care of orphans and vulnerable children in 5 different programmes(USAID partnership)
• Secure and distribute food parcels
• Provide centralised social work and statutory services to all partners
• Psycho-social assessment - provide support with information distribution and counselling in order to ensure that objectives related to the USAID partnership are realized
• Networking and advocacy - participate in community awareness initiatives;
  • Compile reports - monthly, quarterly and yearly

Requirements:

• Tertiary education (social work degree) and registration with South African Council for Social Services Professions
• Minimum of 3-5 years experience in the sector of children’s services
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High degree of initiative and responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
• Driver's license
• Knowledge of the NGO sector and previous experience with USAID would also be an advantage

Salary: R9 500 per month (total cost to company)
