Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference: Advocacy Officer
The Justice and Peace Department of the Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference (SACBC) seeks to appoint an Advocacy Officer.
SACBC wishes to employ an Advocacy Officer who will have the following responsibilities:
- To promote the mission of J&P through the production of media and the maintenance of a webpage
- To promote J&P amongst potential funding partners and to draw up project proposals and reports
- To assist all the other advocacy efforts of the Department
The ideal candidate will:
- Have an appropriate tertiary qualification
- Have experience in developing media
- Have writing skills and experience in project and report writing
- Have knowledge and understanding of Catholic Church structures
- Have initiative, analytical and organisational skills
- Be computer/web literate
- Be able to work in Pretoria
Salary package is negotiable, dependent on qualifications and experience.
