The Justice and Peace Department of the Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference (SACBC) seeks to appoint an Advocacy Officer. 

Job Description: 

SACBC wishes to employ an Advocacy Officer who will have the following responsibilities:

  • To promote the mission of J&P through the production of media and the maintenance of a webpage
  • To promote J&P amongst potential funding partners and to draw up project proposals and reports
  • To assist all the other advocacy efforts of the Department

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have an appropriate tertiary qualification
  • Have experience in developing media
  • Have writing skills and experience in project and report writing
  • Have knowledge and understanding of Catholic Church structures
  • Have initiative, analytical and organisational skills
  • Be computer/web literate
  • Be able to work in Pretoria


Salary package is negotiable, dependent on qualifications and experience.
