The Sexual Health and Rights Initiative South Africa (SHARISA) a newly-registered nonprofit organisation, seeks to appoint a Manager, based in Johannesburg.

 

Job Description: 

S/he will direct and drive the implementation of SHARISA’S founding vision.

As a start-up organisation, the Manager will be resourceful, well-networked and pragmatic.

Responsibilities:

  • Build the capacity of stakeholders in the sector
  • Promote cohesion among stakeholders
  • Raise profile of SRHR among public opinion leaders and decision-makers
  • Synthesise existing research in the SRHR field and produce accessible information for use by all stakeholders and the media

Requirements:

  • Appropriate qualification
  • Minimum of five years experience in management
  • Knowledge in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights
  • Communication skills
  • Ability, political astuteness and determination to bring together and influence diverse stakeholders
