New loveLife Trust: Junior Print Content Producer

Responsibilities:

• Source, research, develop and write content for the loveLife’s youth magazine
• Source and contribute ideas for multi-platform media consumption/integration such as MYMsta, Radio, Media Ys and loveLife Website
• Source photographic content
• Conduct interviews at loveLife events
• Assist in management of publications including advertising and giveaways
• Write stories that achieve specified learning outcomes;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Journalism or related field of communication
• Avid online presence
• Knowledge of social networking sites
• Minimum of two years experience in journalism or mobile content creation
• Writing skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Photographic skills
• Computer literacy and digital navigation experience
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Willingness to work extended hours is an advantage
• Knowledge of other youth media products, key issues and trends affecting the youth today is an advantage
• Profiles in social media will be an advantage
• Valid driver’s license.

Salary: R99 000 per annum.
