Job Description: 

Habitat for Humanity International, a ecumenical Christian housing NGO building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of National Office Specialist to be based in Pretoria.

 

Responsibilities:

 

* Review and analyse national organisations and affiliates monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for completeness and accuracy

* Review monthly reconciliations and transaction level details submitted by national organisations

* review mortgage data to ensure that the mortgage sub-ledgers match the general ledger

* Ensure compliance with HFHI financial policies and procedures, identifying & proposing additions and modifications as needed

* Support national organisations Finance Manager on field-related initiatives and projects

 

Requirements

 

* Not for profit / NGO experience in Africa and Middle East

* Applicable University Degree

* Three to five years applicable experience

* Excellent communication skills in English. Fluency in French, Portuguese or Arabic is preferred

* Willingness to adhere to Habitat for Humanity's Christian principle
