Hivos: Programme Officers
Hivos - Humanist Institute for Cooperation in full, in Dutch: Humanistisch Instituut voor Ontwikkelingssamenwerking, is a Dutch organisation for development co-inspired by humanist values. Hivos provides financial and political support to over 800 partner organisations in over 30 countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Southeastern Europe.
The Hivos Local Office South Africa - LOSA works on a variety of programmes with a specific focus on civil society participation; gender; lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) rights and emancipation; HIV and Aids; and migration.
LOSA seeks to appoint two Programme Officers, based in Johannesburg.
They are expected to have a broad interest in development issues and a specific focus on LGBTI and the other on capacity development.
Requirements:
- Degree;
- Experience in grant making;
- IT skills and knowledge of databases;
- People skills;
- Ability to travel, both locally and regionally;
- Valid driver’s licence.
