Job Description: 

WHEAT Women’s Fund is a grantmaking initiative that promotes a culture of giving to develop grassroots women's leadership to achieve social, economic and gender justice.

WHEAT Women's Fund seeks to appoint a Grants Liaison Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Record all grant applications - maintain a database and filing system;
  • Support the grants manager in the process of issuing and monitoring grant agreements;
  • Document grantee activities and liaise with grantees;
  • Monitor grantee progress and visit grantees.

Requirements:

  • University degree or a strong tertiary qualification in development and/or gender studies;
  • Good analytical skills and familiarity with research processes;
  • Excellent computer skills - Microsoft Word and Excel are a requirement, whilst experience in Access and other databases is an added advantage;
  • Good administrative abilities;
  • Integrity and professional discretion;
  • Fluency in local languages will be an advantage;
  • Willingness to travel locally;
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Salary: Negotiable depending on proven experience.
