IntraHealth is looking for a Gender Advisor to provide technical and training assistance in GBV, gender equality and women's human rights.
Job Description: 
Description: IntraHealth is looking for a Gender Advisor to provide technical and training assistance in GBV, gender equality and women's human rights. The position is initially 50% but is expected to increase to 100% in the first year. The Gender Advisor will provide direct technical assistance and training to projects and perform the following functions:

* Develop curricula, protocols and guidelines related to GBV and gender integration;
* design assessments and evaluations related to gender equality and GBV;
* identify and brief consultants and prepare SOWs;
* prepare and monitor workplans and budgets;
* prepare or review concept papers, technical guidelines, reports, work plans, and other documents.

The Gender Advisor will perform the following institutional functions:

* Manage a team SharePoint site;
* write or review GBV or gender-related documents; and
* identify appropriate state-of-the-art communications and networking structures for gender equality communications and activism.

Qualifications:

* Advanced degree in public health or related field with 5 or more years in gender and international health development;
* experience developing curricula and protocols related to gender- based violence (i.e., sexual assault, intimate partner violence, child sexual abuse);
* skilled in preparing and conducting training;
* overseas experience working in low resource settings in a technical and management capacity;
* strong program knowledge, practical experience and familiarity with technical approaches and resources related to response to GBV;
* Knowledge of successful approaches to the economic empowerment of women and minorities;
* experience managing program activities, meeting complex technical assistance requirements and monitoring several concurrent projects/activities;
* program design and development experience;
* a collegial and collaborative working style with an ability to work alone and in teams;
* excellent oral and written communication skills in English and ability to work in another language (French sought);
* familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods;
* high level of computer literacy in Word, Excel and Power Point and Internet;
* ability to travel 25% of the time.
