Job Description:
The Western Cape Primary Science Programme (PSP) is a teacher development NGO that works in a range of projects to develop, support and resource teachers in order to improve the quality of both teaching and learning in primary schools. The PSP invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for a position of a Director to be based in the Western Cape. This is a three-year contract post and the candidate will start on 1 January 2009.

* Passion and experience in the field of education
* Programme management experience
* Strong collaborative work ethic
* Competence in financial management and fundraising
Responsibilities
* Strategic direction to fulfill and extend the mandate of the PSP
* Development and monitoring of programmes and projects
* Financial stability (working with a fundraiser)
* Accountability of the organisation
* Maintaining and extending a high quality team, networks, and partners to implement the strategic plan
