Communications Coordinator
Habitat for Humanity International, a ecumenical Christian housing NGO building simple, decent, affordable housing in partnership with people in need, invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Communications Coordinator to be based in Pretoria.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain integrity of content used in editorial and marketing communications materials published by and within Africa and Middle East region
* Edit, amend and rewrite materials to raise awareness about Habitat activities and for stories concerning AME-based homeowners and partners -- all for publication electronically; in multimedia or broadcast channels; in print in external publications; and/or in Habitat publications and outlets
* Research and originate stories (occasionally involving field trips), scripts, presentations, marketing and advertising copy as required Requirements
* Not for profit / NGO experience in Africa and Middle East
* Applicable University Degree
* Three to five years applicable experience
* Excellent communication skills in English. Fluency in French, Portuguese or Arabic is preferred
* Willingness to adhere to Habitat for Humanity’s Christian principles
