Activists Networking against the Exploitation of Child Domestic Workers: Outreach Officer
Activists Networking against the Exploitation of Child Domestic Workers (Anex CDW), a Western Cape based children’s rights NGO, seeks to appoint a suitable candidate for the position of an Outreach Officer for the Counter Trafficking Project.
The outreach officer would be required to identify and go out into various communities within the Western Cape and implement a school outreach programme educating children and youth on human trafficking.
Requirements:
- Degree in social sciences or demonstrated experience in Community outreach work or youth development within the Western Cape
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working with diverse groups and communities
- Must be proficient in English, Afrikaans and isiXhosa
- Experience facilitating group discussions and managing small and large groups particularly with youth
- Must have a good sense of humour and display a passion for working with youth and children
- Driver’s license would be an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Police Clearance
Duration of Contract- One Year with possible extension and renewal
