1in9 Campaign Co-ordinator

The 1in9 Campaign seeks a skilled individual to take forward co-ordination of the Campaign. The successful applicant will be a woman, an activist, feminist and passionate about women’s rights and movement building. She will be a team player, who is also comfortable in a leadership position. The Co-ordinator will have strong people skills and be able to work with people from diverse ideologies, institutions, organisations and movements. She must have strong project management experience including the ability to conceptualise, resource and oversee the implementation of multiple projects. This position is based in Johannesburg.

REQUIREMENTS

• Strategic thinker
• Deep understanding of women’s human rights and humanrights in general
• Strong planning and monitoring skills
• Ability to raise and manage funds, experience in working with donors
• Ability to mobilise activists and recruit members
• Ability to work under pressure
• Ability to write professionally for a wide range of audiences
• Media skills and experience in working with the media

Possession of a valid drivers licence and ability to communicate in at least two of the official languages will be an advantage
