In light of the closing ceremony for 16 days of activism of no violence against women and children, Deputy President Kgalema Motlanthe will be launching the National Council Against Gender-Based Violence

Brochure: "Keep Your Chats Exactly That!"

This brochure contains information on Online Safety for girls, and forms part of the "Keep your Chat's Exactly That!" campaign. The campaign, launched in 2009, aims to educate young people about their rights and responsibilities when using technology to communicate - especially when using cellphones!. Use it in your school, pass it on to your child and make copies for others.

A Sex eduactaion campaign aimed at breaking traditional taboos and getting more people to find treatment for STDs was launched in China on Sunday. 

UNIFEM: Say NO to Violence Against Women

Launched in November 2007, the initiative was designed to feed into UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon's campaign the Unite to End Violence against Women. It has since served as a platform for hundreds of thousands of concerned people to add their names to a global call to action, demanding that the issue be made a top priority globally.

Joining the Say NO campaign will signal support to the efforts of the Secretary-General and the targeted outcomes for this campaign, namely:-
