World Conservation Congress

5 October 2008 - 14 October 2008 The World Conservation Congress is the world's largest and most diverse conservation event. Held every four years, the Congress aims to improve how we manage our natural environment for human, social and economic development.
Natural diversity underpins all human well-being. The environmental problems facing our planet and its communities are now recognized by people from all walks of life. What is needed now are solutions to these problems. The theme of the Congress is A diverse and sustainable world. It will showcase the links between natural, social, cultural and economic diversity.
