Proactive and Responsive Service Delivery 2010-2015 Conference

Date of event:
20 May 2010 - 21 May 2010

The Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA), in association with Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), will be holding a one-and-a-half day conference entitled “Proactive and Responsive Service Delivery 2010 - 2015” on 20 and 21 May 2010. The objective of this conference is to provide individuals of the same seniority from both the public and private sector an opportunity to engage on a number of issues specifically related to the important issue of service delivery.

We have made much progress since the dawn of democracy, yet our country continues to face immense challenges and difficulties. Across the nation communities are calling for a more responsive state and a proactive government. What can we learn from the last sixteen years? What is the role of the private sector? And how can we fulfil the commitment to improve the speed and quality of service delivery?

The objective of this conference is to provide individuals of the same seniority from both the public and private sector an opportunity to engage on a number of issues specifically related to the important issue of service delivery. This will give participants the opportunity to learn from each other, share their expertise and debate the opportunities and challenges of achieving proactive and responsive service delivery over the short- to medium-term.

The programme will offer a stimulating and exciting line-up of high level speakers from both the public and private sector. Speakers will include senior ministers, top executives of relevant companies and leading thinkers in our civil society.
