DDP: Personal Leadership and Mastery Workshop

The Democracy Development Programme (DDP) was initiated in 1993 as a partner project of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation of Germany. For the last 16 years it has been a non-partisan NGO, supporting capacity building on governance and civil society levels to ensure that both are empowered for meaningful participation in South Africa’s social transformation.

Objective

To engage leaders of non-profit organisations in an intensive exploration of personal leadership that should enable them to lead their organisations more authentically and with a clear vision.

RECABIP: Managing HIV and AIDS Programmes

 Regional Capacity Building Partners, a network of professional organisations and individuals who have combined their skills and experience to explore cost-effective ways of strengthening the response to HIV and AIDS, climate change, governance and leadership issues, among other development concerns, is conducting a course on Managing HIV and AIDS Programmes from 17-21 May 2010 in Nairobi, Kenya.

Good Governance in Land Tenure

DDP: Logical Framework Approach - Designing a Project that Works

Projects are designed to address problems faced by beneficiaries, with this in mind the Democracy Development Programme is pleased to announce that we have contracted an expert that has worked extensively within the NGO sector to design a workshop that addresses the project cycle of an organisation using the Logical Framework Approach (LFA).

A properly planned project addressing the real problems of the beneficiaries cannot be achieved without an analysis of the existing situation. The LFA analyses the existing situation as a basis for later planning.

Lefika La Phodiso: Reviving Communications Workshop - Cape Town

Lefika La Phodiso – The Art Therapy Centre, is a not-for-profit Johannesburg based organisation. We provide art therapy training and support programmes in order to empower community members to become more creative, productive, responsible and empathetic, and in doing so, encourage positive social change.

Lefika has organised a series of public workshops and programmes for 2010. Proceeds from our publicly offered training go directly to support our community-based empowerment projects.

The course is aimed at those who want to learn how to use a project management tool such as Open Workbench to create a project plan on the computer with GANTT chart.
