An Online Course for Practitioners and Activists in Human Rights, Public Health and Development Organizations and Movements. (9 weeks, 5 hours per week)

The World Bank is hosting an Online Discussion on Women and the Economy, one of the Critical Areas of Concern identified in the Beijing Platform for Action in 1995, from 18 November to 16 December 2009.

The objective is to draw on the collective experiences since Beijing and to identify what has worked well and what hasn’t in improving the economic condition of women, and women’s participation in the economy.

The Women's Voices website (a subsite of the Women'sNet award winning website) is a platform created to amplify voices of women prior the elections. This will be a space for women to articulate issues of concern prior the elections and also monitoring and making commentry based on what is said by political parties in the media.
