Highway Africa is an annual conference hosted by Rhodes University (School of Journalism and Media Studies) and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC), with the support of several partners, development agencies, and sponsors. According to the organisers, the media arena has seen unprecedented expansion of global media networks paralleled by the explosion of the internet, centred on the World Wide Web, as a major media platform.

AMARC is pleased to announce that the tenth World Assembly of Community Radio Broadcasters will be held from 8 to 13 November 2010 in Ciudad de la Plata, province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. This will be the first Global conference of community broadcasters to be held in South America, where community radios were born 60 years ago.

This conference is organized to raise awareness and get a clear idea of what women’s current position is concerning the influence of the worldwide economic crisis on the position of women. All crises have their dangers and disadvantages, but each and every crisis also entails creativity and new opportunities.

This conference aims to produce information and recommendations on actions that will enhance gender equity as the turning point for economic development in the world.

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) and its regional and international partners are inviting submissions of papers for the second “Science with Africa” Conference, entitled "Science, Innovation and Entrepreneurship".

 The Public Administration Leadership and Management Academy (PALAMA), in association with Gordon Institute of Business Science (GIBS), will be holding a one-and-a-half day conference entitled “Proactive and Responsive Service Delivery 2010 - 2015” on 20 and 21 May 2010.
