be your self!

we are not used to speaking for our selves! but now we can speak out as women and girls in south africa! each and every woman has the right to, but i can`t see how it's important to vote because we vote for people who can`t make sure that we get what we have voted for?! they used to tell us that 'your vote is your voice' but they don`t allow our voice to be heard! This is why I say it is not necessary to vote! my ending is that if you vote you might get a good service.

NOT ENOUGH IS BEEN DONE

I enyoyed the debate with those different political members Well they all addressed the same thing in different perspective of course it was a debate. I feel that some points which are important were not discussed. They only talked about how they could change things if we vote for them. Why don't they start now with those changes. Every six second a woman is killed here in South Africa. What is being done to stop that, how many woman must die before they do something. What is being done for children who finished school and did not get A's.

violence

WE WENT TO THE DEBATE HERE IN JOZI,IT WAS GOOD BECAUSE THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT VIOLENCE ,FOR AN EXAMPLE TRANSPORT PROBLEMS,GIRLS WHO WERE RAPED ,AND PROSTIUTES TO FIND THEM JOBS. FOR ME THERE A LOT OF SICKNESS OUT THERE, SO IT IS BETTER WHEN THEY GET GOOD JOBS FOR THEMSELF. SOMTIMES THEY ARE ABUSED BECAUSE THEY THINK THEY ARE UNEMPLOYABLE AS THEY ARE SELLING THEIR BODIES. SOMETIMES CHILDREN TRAVEL LONG DISTANCES TO SCHOOL EVERYDAY, SO IT IS BETTER WHEN THERE IS TRANSPORT EVEN BICYCILES .

POLITICAL PARTIES ACTING AGAINST WOMEN ABUSE FOR VOTES

political parties did not comment on our behalf, they were only concerned about being voted for. They were only concerned about what the government is doing and that made me feel like they were not emotionally attached about the topic as individuals but only as members of a political party. I wish that they could speak more as individuals than as political parties. But I am glad 'cause I have learned something, especialy when I talk to Ms Nana Ngobese of "Women Forward" on issues about social development and support groups for abused women and she justified the need for this.

Women in political parties

Women in political parties I'm very angry about women in politics because: Today i went to an election debate & I felt like all those women who were there were sent to campaign for votes not to address the issues of women & violence against them, all those parties did was say "i would empower women if they vote for my party" that's it! Now you tell me, how you would trust such women? It's very much clear they were sent by men because non of the things they said were valid. I could see through them that they came to talk to us because it's time for voting.

sum thngs r taken 4 granted

Today i was at a debute, sort of conference around joburg and some of the representetives of some political parties were there and it was amazing on how some of the representitives were addressing some of the issues, the UDM representitve was shaking and you can ask yourself how can a party be represented by someone who can't talk in front of many people and ignoring issues like the one of a girl who was wearing a mini -skirt and was raped because of wearing it and all the leaders just read about it and don't give a damn on what happened next. Why should parties attend to a matter if it happend

Radio station Thethafm

Last week satuarday we went to Thetha radio station wich is in Orange Farm to talk about Children's Rights. I saw my favourate radio dj and other djs that i always hear about. What I heard and noticed from the children who called on the show is that we don't know our rights and we don't undearstant them. We use our rights in a bad way, we don't use them in a good way. when we use the word rights we fogert to use the word responsibly. what did i do ? I spoke on the show and some children phoned to talk about rights and I was dissaponited that very few children called the show.

Your Education!

you have a right to have education because education is so impontant in life. you cannot be proud of yourself if you do not go to school. Stop playing with your furture because one day you will regert your life 'cause now you are messing up with your furture, stop doing that! Other children cannot go to school because thier parent dont want them to. They think it is a waste of time, but you have a chance to go to school. And you smoke at school??!! Just go to school and have education! You will fail! Stop smoking! .education is your furture.

The right to Education

I have the right to have family beucase family for me is important. For me, I like to be with a family because i need them as a child. Family is much importan for me and when we don't have family you don't cannot go to school. When I grow up i want to be doctor.

Real Person

I am a REAL person and have a right to be treated properly. My granny is not treating me well at home but I have Rights! Sshe shouts at us like dogs! She does not accept our mistakes. I have a right to be taken seriously and also make mistakes. When we talk about school work, my sister and I, she just looks at us like dogs. But, again I have a right to be protected from neglect! She likes calling us names like "bitch" and that hurts me because she says that we are not flesh and blood, thats why she treat us like this...
