SUPRISED THAT MANY YOUNG PEOPLE VOTED! Wow! I felt great after casting my first ever vote as a young South African! The thing that suprised me the most was that a whole lot of young people in my township actually voted! When my friends 7 I went to the voting station we were like "wow! you are here to vote as well?!" to some of our peers. It seem like most young people in my community kept it a secret that they registered to vote as most of us were suprised to see each other at the voting station. I wonder why? because there was nothing to be ashamed of! The thing that bored me was the elderly people kept on talking about how bad the youth is and although we did something positve like standing in voting lines for about 2 hours but no one commented. We know that most of our youth voted, i bet my fame on it if the youth didn't vote oh! it was going to be all over S.A news papers, tv & radio stations! There was'nt enough credit given to us as young people for participating in the elections. Well, I say "big ups" to all the young voters of Mzansi especially the first time voters like Mwa!
