About Citizen Journalism Project

Today Women'sNet is working with partner organisations in South Africa to bring together an initial group of activists and organisations to build their capacity to develop media products. The capacity building takes the form of a hands-on technical skills training on using the technology tools to produce media products as well as raising awareness about the concepts and use of citizen media as part of development practice. This blog is a space for this capacity building and sharing idea, opinions and news.

sci- bono

Namhlanje ngijabule kakhulu ngoba ngibone ama-game futhi ngifunde ukwakha indlu. Ngafunda ukuthi ngine electricity, ngazibona ukuthi ngine energy engakanani, ngagibela imonto, ngabona ama-toy amaningi. Ngafunda nge-radio nange satelite ngazwa iziteyishi zangaphandle emazweni.Ngabona i-electricity ukuthi ilayitha kangakanani, nokuthi izandla nginceda kangakanani and ngabona i-computer ngakhona ukukhuluma nomunye ngama sound waves. Ekugcineni ngithanda ukubonga iGirls Net, ngifunde okuningi.

tt was a fun day

Today i was so happy! I learned about so many things. I read about how Oxygen moves inside water and eletrons make the bulb light when you touch a circuit. I learned about building a house. You first put the cement, then put on a brick, another cement, another brick etc. This was good for me because i touched and played with all the games. The thing that i enjoyed the most was driving a car. It was very a good day for me. good bye.

today

namuhlanje bekumunandi ngoba besifunda ngo maths and science. ngezinto e ziningi njengo gesi, ukudrayva imonto, ukubheka i- energy yakho, nami ukundlala ibhola, no murabaraba, nokuyakhwa izindlu bhabayi, sizobonana nge vinki elizayo, ngomqibelo bhabayi, nonke. yimina upretty, nawe ungiqoqele yokinto e yakho.

what i learn with science and maths

I learned how to build a house and to know how the positives and the negatives in a circuit work. I head different sounds when you beat a bottle with a stick. I learned how radio works as sound works through waves. I learned about the meaning of platinum and steel and how they can light electricity. If you get it right you get a point. I really enjoyed playing puzzels and playing in groups with other girls

maths and science

today i enjoyed being at maths and sciense centre. i have learned to work as a team. I played computerised soccer. there was another game where you dance and see how much energy is in your body. I learned that i have an eletricity in my body , i have learned about negative and positive powers, i have learned how to build a house. i met new people!

my sci- bono day

my day at was filled with fun and EVJOYMENT!! I saw and played with different games and I wish to have learned many other THINGS there. I LEARNED about how electrcity can be lit by holding hands as a group as it travels through our bodies and circuit. Also when I touch the circuits, a face would lit up showing volts. I also played with lead and how it also helps electricity. I asked the tour guide a question and she told me about the + and - of a circuit. Driving a car for the first time was also great. Building a house was also fun. I love maths and sciense!

at discovery centre

Hey, i feel happy today as I learnt many things. i learned that i have electricity in my body and even at school when they ask me: "do you know that you have electricity in your body?" I will tell them "YES!" I did not know what to do and what to touch, but now i know i have to touch this and that, to explore with science. It was fun and I have learn how to drive a car. I did not know how to drive a car but now I know. I think my family will ne proud of me and i love them.

playing at science centre

My name is Nthabiseng, I live in Orange Farm. Today I learned to play a ball that was a reflect on the florr from up in the screen but we could kick it. We learned how to build a house with plastic bricke=s which I enjoyed very much. I saw a picture in a mirror where a person became fat and changed to slender by shifting the mirror. Then they showed us how electricity travels in our body, with an example of puting our hands on top of something and energy flows to the circuit so that the light bulb switches on. I also learned how to drive a car. Kea Leboha Girls Net!

today on the sci -bono

today. I learn how to drive a car, to build a house. I was so happy since it's my first time to drive a car. I learned about how the radio works. Together with the other girls, we challenged one another in puzzle games. I also enjoyed played virtual soccer on a vitual feild. I would kick the ball and hear a scoring sound.
