My experiences in the workshop sharpened my knowledge about women and their struggles. As a male, most especially one from a very partriachal faith, we very seldom notice sisters taking part in gender activism. These women are powerful and i would love to introduce more Rasta sisters into the program to instill more confidence and self esteem.
There should be a common ground where both male and female meet and this platform has never been precisely established due to unequal distribution of power in the faith. Babylon has taught males to be very aggressive and chauvanistic thereby derailing any progress which is "divinely" entitled to our mothers of the nation.
Truth and right has always been the Rastafari mandate and the truth is Rasta women are not given the platform; regarded as inferior and confined to the trivial realms of subordination. As the Editor of Rasfleks magazine, i sincerely respect what these Empresses have taught myself and the small group of men who attended the workshop.
More work to come. Lets Build the nation; the Alpha and Omega nation. Rastafari
