60Percent Reference Group Meeting: Breaking silences on reproductive health

I attended the health System's Trust (HST) 60Percent Listserv Reference group meeting in Cape Town on the 6th of October.

The meeting was small - with representatives from DENOSA, HST, IPAS, ICW and Mosaic attending. We had some interesting discussions about the List, and the state of women's reproductive health in South Africa and beyond. Significantly, we all found the List useful, but time was an obstacle in all of us making full use of the lis. The list currently has 400 members, and is growing. Membership is mostly from Southern Africa, but there are members from further afield. The listdoes offer significant opportunities for sharing information and exchanging strategies, with time, skills and our workloads intervening!

We talked about the possibilities of having face to face meeitngs to discuss pressing issues facing us in the reproductive health scene, and we talked about the current challenges facing activists in the field.

I have taken on assistng list members with some technical questions about managing their inboxes and the listserv messages.
