On behalf of our Organisation I would like to thank WomenNet for making it possible for me to attend the Feminist Tech Exchange 2009 Workshop.  This was a life changing experience and one that I hold dear to my heart.  Thank your very much, and kind regards to you Sally, Lebo, Eva and Lerato

"I used to think that ICTs/IT was just about computers and stuff, I never thought that you can use it to make a difference emotionally, physically and mentally and this workshop was a wake-up call for me"

"ICTs is powerful in giving voice to victims of VAW, for advocacy and for healing. It can not only spread messages but the realities and experiences of survivors"

"before [the training] I did not know that something like VAW, which is so emotional, could be influenced by something so non-emotional like technology"

  •  "Wow, this workshop came at the right time for me.  I have enjoyed it much and I assure you it was time put to good use.. The skills learnt will go a long way to assist me in my everyday business at work. Can you imagine, I even learnt about keeping a diary, using my skills to network with colleagues and accessing the web will assist me with research regarding issues in my constituency? I now can easily store data without going about carrying large files and folders... How neat! I wish this knowledge will be availed to other women out there to enable them to access information at the touch of a button.(Hon Thoko Mathuthu

  • "This training programme is just what I have waited for since I became a Member of Parliament. I assure you that the forthcoming Constitution Making Process will see a high level participation from women MPs including myself. We will start with advocacy for women inclusion in the process. The best part of the training was the practical part of it." (the Honerable Ms Matamisa)
